Background
This site has been created as an illustration of how information can be made available and shared on-line utilising free open source web design templates. It describes the type of evidence that could be collated to meet the criteria for Unit 11 of LSN's ECPD Framework and is provided for discussion purposes. To date only Elements 11.1 and 11.2 have been covered in any depth but the 'Suggestions Box' (other than on this page) lists potential sources for 11.3 and 11.4. The sub menus on unit pages will take you to individual criteria.
Evidence Examples:
It is recommended that the option of presenting information using a web log and file management tools such as re:load, exe-learning or box.net be investigated further too. I'll get round to that some time but, for our initial purposes, hope this can contribute to discussion as to how we ourselves utilise e-learning.
Further development
It would be relatively simple to develop this type of presentation of ideas to all the units. A truly collaborative tool such as Moodle or shared Wikis would normally be the preferred choice but access to a suitable Moodle site was not available at the time of production and the volume of pages, coupled with a desire that links to actual materials could be added easily tended to make using a Wiki a bit more time-consuming and less neatly presented without a lot of initial planning.
