There are several web tools now available that make creating your own web pages a simple task that can be achieved quickly and smartly on-line with no special software, knowledge of web design or coding skills.

These notes take you through using Pageflakes, which has panels you can use for a variety of content that can be positioned on the page as you wish by dragging them around on the screen.

To start, just go to the Pageflakes site and follow the instructions and explanatory notes on this site.

You will find it easier if you first set up a web gallery if you wish to include any images or scanned items and a web log for your notes and things, as well as prepare lists of useful links and recommended reading for students.

Alternative web site creation tools you may also like to experiment with, once you get the general idea, or just for fun, are Protopage and Sitekreator. I shall produce some notes for these alternatives separately in due course but this is outside the scope of this particular project.
