course tasks

1 identify web page elements

Take a look at some web pages - either some of your favourites or as suggested by your tutor.

On either a screen print of the page or a rough sketch on a piece of paper, indicate the key elements of the page, noting those that appear constant, or as a design theme, throughout the site or a section of it.

Use View>Text size to increase and decrease the text size. If available, view the site in different browsers too. Note any observations - e.g. what happens when you enlarge the text? Are there any differences between browser displays?

List the main images used on the page, their dimensions and file size. If you have the web developer toolbar in Firefox this is easy. Otherwise, right click on images and select Properties.

Note the full web page address.
